Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 big sized onion.
  2. 1/2 cup maida.
  3. 1/4 cup cornflour.
  4. Salt to taste.
  5. 1/2 tsp oregano.
  6. 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder.
  7. 1/2 tsp garlic powder.
  8. 1/2 baking powder.
  9. Pinch of Green, yellow and red food colour.
  10. Oil for frying.
  11. Onion rings for garnishing.
  12. Tomato sauce for serving.

Instructions

  1. Peel the onions and cut them in thick rings. Pat it dry on a tissue paper.
  2. I have taken the rings of the same onion so that I get different sizes of rings.
  3. Now combine the maida, corn flour, garlic powder, oregano, baking powder and salt
  4. Mix well and prepare a batter making sure no lumps are formed.
  5. Cover it and keep aside for around 10 minutes.
  6. Seperate the batter in 3 different bowls.
  7. Add yellow colour in one bowl , green in other and red in the 3rd bowl .
  8. Mix well. So now you have 3 different colours of batter ready with you.
  9. Heat oil in a non stick pan. Dip the onion rings in maida flour first then dip in the coloured batter making sure they are evenly getting coated. Deep fry on a medium flame. So fry onion rings dipped in all the 3 colored batters.
  10. Drain on the tissue paper.
  11. Sprinkle chaat masala.
  12. Serve immediately as shown in the picture.
  13. Perfect to match this lovely season of rainbow.
