ABOUT Saboot amla pickle RECIPE

Amla is very rich in vitamin C and hence is very good for health. This recipe uses amla and turns it into a delicious yummy pickle.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Gooseberry [amla] 500gram
  2. 1/2 TBSP RED CHILLI POWDER
  3. 1tsp turmeric powder
  4. I/2cup salt
  5. Musturd oil 31/2tbsp
  6. 1tsp mustard seeds
  7. 1tsp fenugreek seeds
  8. 1 tsp Asafoetida

Instructions

  1. First rinse gooseberry in water. dry them with napkin .scrape them little with the knife .now with a fork prick them all over. see the picture and follow likewise.
  2. Heat little oil add musturd fenugreek seeds let them crackle.
  3. Add asafoetida and mix it and close the gas. add chilli powder turmeric powder salt . mix well. spread generously all over amla .keep the pickle in an airtight jar.
  4. Let it dry in shade for 15-20days
  5. Then heat oil and pour over the amla .
  6. Let it cool.
  7. Pickle is ready to be served
