ABOUT Black Channa Spinach Curry RECIPE

Spinach is a rich source of iron and should be added to kids' diet. Black channa is also rich in vitamins and gives energy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

Black channa- 100gm
Spianch- 150 gm
Onion- 1 finely chopped
Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tsp
Tomato puree- 2 tomatoes
Paneer crumbled- 2 tblsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
Garam masala- 1/4 tsp
Haldi- 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil or butter 1 tbls

Instructions

Soak black channa overnight and pressure cook for 20 minutes.
Cut palak finely and blanch it for 4 minutes in microwave
Heat oil in a pan and fry onion. When it is half fried, add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric and coriander powder and fry for another 5 minutes.
Add tomato puree and red chilli powder and fry till it leaves oil
Add boiled black channa, spinach and salt
Add 1/2 cup water to mix all the contents, cover it and cook for another 10 minutes
Add crumbled paneer and cook for 5minutes
Sprinkle garam masala in the end and stir well.
Serve hot with chapatis or paratha.
