ABOUT Sweet Potato Salad! RECIPE

Sweet potatoes commonly referred as yams come from the family of regular potatoes. Loaded with complex carbs, dietary fiber also are rich in vitamin C and B6. All that is needed to this Narure's pride is just a touch of flavor and when it comes from the Indian spices , it just makes it a perfect snack or starter to any meal.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 medium : Sweet potato
  2. 1 medium : Cucumber chopped
  3. 3 : Clementine oranges
  4. 1/4 cup : Pecans
  5. 1/4 cup : Pomegranate
  6. 2 tbsp : Cranberries dried
  7. Few mint leaves chopped
  8. 2 tbsp : Lemon juice
  9. 1 tsp : Red chilli flakes
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 1 tsp : Roasted Cumin powder
  12. 2 tsp : Chaat masala

Instructions

  1. Boil, peel and cube sweet potato. Peel and chop cucumber.
  2. For the orange : Seperate the segments, discard the fibrous strands, and chop into bite sized.
  3. Just make sure all of them are of same size.
  4. Next Add all the chopped veggies , oranges and rest of the ingredients to a bowl.
  5. Mix and adjust the seasoning.
  6. Serve immediately.
  7. If serving later add the lemon juice just before serving.
  8. Filling and tasty Sweet potato salad ready to dress up your meal.
