ABOUT Cheesy chilla sandwich RECIPE

This is a nutrition packed recipe as I have used different flours for the batter and served with a curd dip.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat flour-2 tbsp
  2. Besan-2 tbsp
  3. Jowar flour-2 tbsp
  4. Bajra flour-2 tbsp
  5. Rawa-2 tbsp
  6. Rice flour-2 tbsp
  7. Ginger green chilli paste-1 tbsp
  8. Capsicum- finelychopped-2 tbsp
  9. Curd-2 tbsp
  10. Salt
  11. Turmeric-1/2 tsp
  12. Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  13. Coriander-1 tbsp
  14. FOR CURD DIP:
  15. Curd-2 cups
  16. Chaat masala-1 tsp
  17. Sugar-1 tsp
  18. Red chilli powder-1 tsp
  19. Cumin Powder-1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Mix all the flours with curd and whisk. Add water as required to get a medium consistency.
  2. Add all spices and capsicum etc.You can add other vegetables also according to your choice.
  3. Keep for half an hour.
  4. Prepare curd dip by whisking curd till smooth. Add the spices and sugar and mix till sugar dissolves.The dip is ready.
  5. After 30 minutes, heat a non stick pan. Grease it and then pour a ladle of batter and spread medium thick. Drizzle oil on the borders and center. Cover with lid.
  6. After the bottom side browns, turn the chilla's top side down.
  7. Roast till brown spots appear and then take it in a plate.
  8. Put grated cheese in half the chilla and fold the other half on this part to form a sandwich. Serve hot with curd dip.
  9. You can also do another variation by applying pizza sauce on chilla and then sprinkling cheese .Then sprinkle some oregano and chilli flakes and fold like sandwich. Enjoy this with sauce.
