Mix maida, ghee and salt together till it becomes crumbly. Add water little by little and make a soft dough.
Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest 15 minutes.
Mix mawa, nuts, saffron and cardamom powder together and keep aside .
Make sugar syrup to one string consistency, add saffron and lemon juice to it. Mix well and keep aside .
Make lemon size balls of dough and mawa mixture
Take a ball of dough ,roll it into a small thick circle .
Fill it with mawa mixture , bring all the sides together and roll into a ball.
Slightly flatten it and fry it in medium hot oil till it turns golden brown.
Immerse the kachoris in sugar syrup and let it rest for around 15 minutes
Take them out from sugar syrup, arrange it in a plate and sprinkle the sliced nuts over it
It is ready to be served
