These falahari puris consumed during navratra fast. Singarha flour is mixed with kuttu flour as kuttu flour is warm in nature. Therefore curd also must be consumed with these puris.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Kuttu/ buckwheat flour 1 cup
  2. Singhara flour 1 cup
  3. Boiled and mashed potatoes 1 cup
  4. Salt 1 tesp
  5. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  6. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl mix together both flours, salt, red chilli powder and mashed potatoes.
  2. Mix them very well patiently till it binds into a tight dough without adding water.
  3. Add a tablespoon of oil to dough and knead well.
  4. Heat oil in a wok.
  5. Pinch small balls out of the dough, roll them using rolling pin and dusting with kuttu flour, into puris and deepfry in hot oil.
  6. Remove to kitchen towel and serve with potato curry and curd.
