Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 onions diced
  2. One tomato diced
  3. Ginger Garlic paste 2-3 tsp
  4. Chili powder 1 tsp
  5. Jeera few
  6. Pattai (cinnamon stick ) 2
  7. Bay leaf 1
  8. Pudina leaves 10
  9. Cooking Oil
  10. Salt as required
  11. 1 glass basmati rice soaked

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker add 5-6 tsp of cooking oil wait till it heats
  2. Now add the spices jeera,pattai,bayleaf and stir for 1 minute
  3. Now add the diced onions and wait till it turns translucent
  4. Next add the tomato and fry
  5. After the vegetables are fried add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes
  6. Next add one tsp chilli powder and fry
  7. Next add pudina leaves and add rice and 2 cups of water 1:2 ratio
  8. Close the pan and in medium flame wait for two whistles
  9. Yummy tomato rice ready
