ABOUT Whole Wheat flour steamed cake RECIPE

Steamed cake using atta.You can also make it using rice flour.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup Wheat Flour
  2. 4 tbsp grated coconut
  3. Luke Warm water as needed
  4. Salt

Instructions

  1. Take whole wheat flour in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add salt to it
  3. Slowly add water by mixing the flour with your fingers.
  4. Don't be in a hurry to pour the water.
  5. The flour should be a sooji like consistency and not a dough.
  6. Once you get a sooji type flour,close the bowl and set it aside.
  7. Let it rest for 10-15 min.
  8. Take your puttu maker and layer it with grated coconut and then the flour.
  9. Repeat until the mixture is finished.
  10. Steam for 5 min.
  11. Enjoy hot steamed cake with banana and sugar.
  12. It even goes well with meat curries.
  13. If you don't have a puttu maker,you can steam it using any normal steamer.
  14. Just place a wet white cloth in the steamer .
  15. Spread the flour and coconut over it.Steam.
