ABOUT Red Onion and Pomegranate Relish RECIPE

Truly a Relish from NIGELLA CHRISTMAS -the cook book I relish to see too as Thats my Prize book.Gives a fast glorious seasonal adornment great with almost all meaty dishes ,steaks or kheema pie which I served with today to my family. Here this Relish I served with Kheema pie.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 red onion
  2. 60ml lime juice
  3. 40 gms Pomegranate Seeds
  4. 60ml Pomegranate pure Juice /or bottled
  5. One small cup corriander leaves
  6. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and cut into half .
  2. Slice the halved onion into thin half moons
  3. Put the onions into a bowl and add the lime juice and pomegranate juice
  4. Let the onion steep in the juices for half hour
  5. Drain the steeped onions into a small bowl now discarding the too- oniony juice
  6. Add the pomegranate seeds now
  7. Toss in corriander
  8. Serve asap ,either on a meaty prep or on side to let people enjoy with their dish
