ABOUT Cookies size LAVA cake RECIPE

I call it Cookies Lava Cake. Stuffed chocolate in small cake. A small bite of sweetness. This is best for gifting. These colourful flowers on top makes these look very pretty.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 cup all purpose flour
  2. 1/2 cup self rising flour
  3. 3/4 cup brown sugar
  4. 100 gm butter on room temperature
  5. Red Colour (optional or as per your choice of colours)
  6. 2 pinch Salt (if use saltless butter)
  7. 1 egg - beaten
  8. 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence/extract
  9. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  11. 1/2 cup Sour cream/fresh yogurt+1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  12. 1 cup chocolate
  13. 1/2 cup Choco chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat microwave on 170 degrees Celsius.
  2. Melt the butter.
  3. Seive flour, baking soda, baking powder at least two time with strainer.
  4. Melt the chocolate and drop small droplets of the melted chocolate, on a parchment sheet with spoon and make chocolate balls. Keep in the freezer to solidify these.
  5. Take a big size bowl and mix flour, butter, egg, colour (if you are using dry colour than make a liquid of color first with the help of little water or suger syrup), vanilla extract and cream.
  6. Make a dough. Now add choco chips and mix slowly and divide the dough into equal cookie size proportions.
  7. Take each proportion of the cookie dough and flatten it a bit using your palms, stuff a chocolate ball and reshape the dough.
  8. Press the stuffed cookie dough and repeat the procedure for all the dough balls, place these stuffed cookies on a greased baking tray.
  9. Sprinkle chocolate chips on the cookies if you are want to intensify the chocolatey flavour.
  10. Bake these in a preheated oven at 180 degree celsius for 12-15 minutes.
  11. Cool the cookies and decorate them with buttercream flowers or chocolate vermicelli.
