This dish is a complete meal. It helps to loose weight without feeling hungry as it satisfies your hunger and taste buds. Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2cup Sama / kutki ke chawal
  2. 1/2 cup roasted dalia
  3. 1/4 Cup Oats
  4. 1 cup Mixed lentils like moong chalka dal, dhuli moongh dal,tuaar dal, and urad dal
  5. Mixed vegetables 2 cup as per your taste and availability ( peas, spnich, broccoli, cabbage, carrot, potatoes, bell pepper, bottle gourd etc)
  6. 1 1/2 Chopped tomatoes
  7. 1 cup Chopped onion
  8. 1/2cup Fresh curd
  9. 2 Green chilly chopped
  10. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  11. 1/4 cup Coriander
  12. 1tsp Cumin
  13. 4 Cloves
  14. 1/2tsp Haldi
  15. 1 tsp Red chilly powder
  16. Pinch of Hing powder
  17. Salt to taste
  18. 1 tsp Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash lentils and keep aside Heat 2 tsp of ghee in a pressure cooker add cumin seeds , ginger garlic paste, green chillies, cloves and hingh powder. Saute for 15 secs
  2. Add chopped onions saute for 2 mins then add mixed vegetables and saute for 2 mins. Then add chpped tomatoes and cook for a while. Till tomatoes get tender.
  3. Then add fresh curd and washed lentils and mixture of kutki rice, dalia and oats. Mix well
  4. Add lemon juice , haldi powder, red chilly powder , garam masala, salt to taste.
  5. Add 7 cups of water. Close lid of pressure cooker and cook for 4 wistles . 1 wistle high flame and rest 3 wistles on low flame.
  6. Garnish with coriender and lemon slice. Serve hot.

Tuar dal urad dal peas shud be avoided in wt loss regime. They cause bloating. The khichdi is yum without these ingredients as well.
