ABOUT Tangy Amla RECIPE

A quick pickle made of amla/Gooseberry . A good way to consume vitamin C

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Amla/Gooseberry 4 no. (Grated)
  2. Ginger grated 2 tsp
  3. Mustard seeds 1 tsp (crushed in mortar pestle)
  4. Oil 3-4 tbsp
  5. salt as per taste
  6. Kashmiri red chilli pd 1/2 tsp (or as hot n spicy you like)
  7. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix all ingredients except oil
  2. Heat oil to the smoking point
  3. Let it cool completely then add to the mixture of grated Amla and ginger. Mix well
  4. The pickle is ready. It has shelf life of 2-3 days
