ABOUT Clove Amla Jellos RECIPE

Amla is an excellent source of Vitamin C, hence it helps boost your immunity, metabolism and prevents viral and bacterial ailments, including cold and cough. Its nutritional profile also comes studded with a range of polyphenols that are known to fight against the development of cancer cells.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Amla or gooseberries 1/2 kg
  2. water to boil
  3. Sugar 500 grams
  4. Cloves 10-12 pieces

Instructions

  1. Boil the amlas in water for approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Drain the water and allow them to cool. Cut the amlas into wedges and discard the seeds.
  2. Make a fine puree of amlas in the grinder to utmost utilise properties of this miraculous fruit.
  3. Now boil again with sugar on low heat and keep stirring with a wooden ladle.
  4. Keep it boiling and stirring for 1/2 hour on low heat.
  5. You will observe a change in colour from light green to golden yellow.
  6. Now add powdered cloves to enhance the flavour and to add the medicinal value of this recipe.
  7. Put off the heat and pour the mixture over an already greased tin .
  8. Let it cool on wire rack for 1 hour and then cut it into pieces .
  9. Store the jellos in air tight container n use daily to increase family immune against common cold n coughs.

I also make it from my farm fresh amla but never used clove will try it soon.
