Shakerkandi and Singhara Fruit Chaat

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 shakerkandi /sweet potatoes
  2. 8 to 10 pieces of singhara /waterchesnut
  3. 1 small Apple
  4. 1/4 piece of 1 papaya
  5. 1/4cup pomegranate seeds
  6. 1 tea spoon rock salt
  7. 1 tea spoon black salt
  8. 1 tea spoon black pepper
  9. 1 tea spoon chaat masala
  10. 1 table spoon fresh green coriender chutney
  11. 1 tabkespoon sweet imli chutney /saunth
  12. Juice of 1 lemon
  13. 1 table spoon oil or ghee

Instructions

  1. Boil shakerkandi and singhara in a cooker for one steam or microwave them for 7 minutes.
  2. Once cool, peel both the fruits.
  3. Cut shakarkandi in to round pieces and roast on non stick tava with 1 tablespoon oil or ghee.
  4. Peel and cut apple and papaya.
  5. In a big bowl, add all fruits, sprinkle lemon.
  6. Mix all the dry masala along with chutneys.
  7. Arrange in to plates add more lime juice and salt according to your taste.
