ABOUT Achari Paneer RECIPE

Achari Paneer has a thick pickled gravy, gives a very spicy and tangy flavour. Achari Paneer is served with tandoori rotis and chapatis.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer 250 gm
  2. Red chilly 1
  3. Yogurt ½ cup
  4. Cumin seeds ½ tsp
  5. Mustard Seeds ½ tsp
  6. Fenugreek Seeds ¼ tsp
  7. Tomatoes 2
  8. Bell pepper 1
  9. Oil 1 tbsp
  10. Onion chopped 1
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Turmeric a pinch
  13. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  14. Dil leaves 1 tbsp (optional)
  15. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  16. Vinegar ½ tsp (optional)
  17. Sugar 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan, add red chilli, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, dry roast this and put it into the blender and make a powder. Add tomato, bell pepper and make a paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions and salt. Cook the onions till golden in colour, add turmeric, ginger garlic paste, saute it and add dill leaves (optional).
  3. Mix it well and add the prepared achari masala, coriander powder, mix it well. Cook this till oil oozes out and then add yogurt, water, vinegar, sugar and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add fried paneer, cook this some time more and then serve this hot achari paneer.
