Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Oil 1 tbsp
  2. Bay leaf 1
  3. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  4. Peas 1 cup
  5. Capsicum cubed 1
  6. Onion cubed 1
  7. Ginger and garlic paste 1 tsp
  8. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  9. Cream 2 tbsp
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  12. Onion - Tomato Puree 1 cup
  13. Tomato chopped 1
  14. Onion chopped 1
  15. Figs chopped 5
  16. Yoghourt 3/4 cup
  17. Green chilli chopped 4
  18. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  19. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  20. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  21. Water 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. For puree, boil the chopped onions and tomatoes for five minutes, drain and grind.
  2. Make a smooth paste by grinding: figs, green chilli, turmeric, garam masala and yogurt.
  3. Heat oil in pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, onion- tomato puree and ginger garlic paste. Saute till the oil separates.
  4. Add capsicum, mushroom, onion and salt. Cover and cook on a low heat till done.
  5. Add figs paste, saute on low heat for five minutes. Add garam masala and cream.
  6. Serve and garnish with chopped fresh coriander.
