ABOUT Easy French Parfait - Zero Cook dish RECIPE

French inspired low fat dish - for kids' parties or potlucks.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Mixed fruit - 1/2 cup (I used apples, winter melon, oranges, cherries and banana)
  2. Hung Curd - 1/4 cup
  3. Mixed fruit jam - 2 tbsp - slightly melted with 1/2 tsp of hot water
  4. Cornflakes - 1 or 2 tsp - slightly crushed
  5. Honey - 1/2 tbsp
  6. Garnish - Glazed cherries and Mint

Instructions

  1. To make hung curd, tie 1 cup fat free yoghurt in a muslin cloth and leave overnight or for 8 hours till all the water drains (Tip : you can collect the drained water to knead into chapatis or parathas).
  2. Chill the serving glass before assembling the dish.
  3. Make a layer of the hung curd (you can alternatively use flavoured Greek yoghurt too)
  4. Top it with the melted jam.
  5. Drizzle honey on the fruit.
  6. Top with crushed cornflakes and top with cherries and mint.
