Baked these utterly butterly cookies for my friends ailing kid with personalised message on it. . This gave a broad smile on his face and my effort got paid off. It is so simple yet super delicious no fail cookie recipe you can try .

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 2 cups All purpose flour
  2. 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  3. 3/4 cup powder sugar
  4. 3/4 tsp Baking Powder
  5. 1 tsp vanilla essence or cardamom powder
  6. 3-4 TBSP MILK

Instructions

  1. Whisk butter and sugar together till it become light and fluffy.
  2. Shift flour and baking powder together and add to butter sugar mixture.
  3. Add vanilla essence and 1 tbsp of milk at a time.
  4. Gather the dough together to form semi soft dough. Don't kneed it.
  5. Add the milk as required.
  6. Now keep it in fridge covered with cling wrap for 10 mins.
  7. Now roll it to thin sheet and cut desired cookies using cookie cutter.
  8. Place Cookies on lined baking pan at a distance of 2 cm from each other. As cookie will spread on baking.
  9. Preheat oven at 180°C.
  10. Till then place the prepared cookies in fridge to chill.
  11. Now bake for 15- 18 mins or till it's edges start to become golden.
  12. Remove from oven and let it rest for 5 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  13. Store in an air tight jar and enjoy for a week with your hot cup of tea / coffee.
