It is a traditional sweet dish in Goa. It is made during Chaturthi, during festivals and auspicious occasions. It is a channa dal kheer cooked in coconut milk

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Channa dal 1 cup
  2. Sabudana 1/4 cup
  3. Thick Coconut Milk 1 Cup
  4. Thin coconut milk 1 cup
  5. jaggery powdered 1/4 cup
  6. chopped cashew nuts 1/4 cup
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Cardamon powder 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Soak channa dal for 6 hours
  2. pressure cook for 3 whistles
  3. soak sabudana for half an hour
  4. cook sabudana till translucent
  5. Add to channa dal . Add thick and thin coconut milk and boil
  6. Add jaggery , cashew nuts, cardamon powder and salt to taste
