Dry fruits laddu with whole wheat also known as aata ladoo.In Maharashtra, we call them dink ladoo or dinkache laddu. jaggery and edible gum both have warm property, that is the reason this aate ke ladoo are consumed in winters especially.Gond ke laddu gives heat and energy to the body in the winter season and keeps you energetic for the whole day. Gond ladoo is also a great meal for lactating mothers as it helps in increasing milk in the body and gives strength.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 2 cups whole wheat flour
  2. 1 cup oats flour
  3. 1 cup walnut powder(coarsely grinded)
  4. 1 cup almond powder(coarsely grinded)
  5. 1/2 cup pistachios (coarsely grinded)
  6. 100 gms finely chopped dates
  7. 1/2 cup blacks raisins
  8. 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds( powder)
  9. 1/2 cup edible gum(grinded)
  10. 2 tsp cardamon powder
  11. 1/2 cup coconut powder
  12. 1 1/2 cup ghee(cow's clarified butter)
  13. 2 1/2 cup jaggery powder.

Instructions

  1. First of all, take a heavy bottomed kadhai and add wholewheat coarsely grinded flour and ghee
  2. Roast on the medium to low flame till the flour color changes to golden brown color. This process takes about 20-25 min. Be careful as it tends to get burnt quickly.
  3. Grind the edible gum to a fine powder. It will be easy to fry .
  4. Once done with the process of roasting wheatflour,add grinded edible gum...it will puff up...keep stirring continuously...
  5. Now add oats flour, coarsely grinded almond ,walnuts,pistachios,pumpkin seeds ...roast for 2-3 min...
  6. Add black raisins,chopped dates and mix well..
  7. Now off the flame. Let the mixture cool for 10-15 min...
  8. Transfer all the roasted ingredients to a big vessel...so that you can mix all the ingredients well and evenly..
  9. Add coconut powder,cardamon powder and jaggery powder and mix all the ingredients with your hands...
  10. With 1 1/2 cup of ghee, we can make laddu easily. But just in case you find this mixture a bit dry then add 2 tbsp extra ghee and mix. Take a fistful mixture and shape it into a round ball. Do the same process with the rest of the mixture. Dry fruit laddu with wholewheat flour and edible gum is ready...
