ABOUT Cheese Popover RECIPE

Popovers are Americas version of Britains Yorkshire pudding, are pastries that rise impressively over the rims of the pans theyre baked in. Good popovers have crisp exteriors and soft, pillowy insides.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Maida 1cup
  2. Hot Milk 1 cup
  3. Salt 1/2tsp
  4. Egg 2 count
  5. Olive oil(any oil) 6tsp
  6. Pepper 1/2 tsp
  7. Cheese cubes 6 tbsp(more or less according to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, grease a 6 cup popover pan(muffin pan) with the vegetable oil, approximately 1 tsp per cup, place the pan in the oven to get it nice and hot.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together really well all the remaining ingredients. The batter should be warm.
  3. Divide the batter evenly among the hot popover pan and drop 1tbsp cheese cubes in each popover cup and pop it in the oven to bake for 35 minutes.
