Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Boneless chicken (cut into cubes) - 500gm
  2. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  3. Crushed black pepper - 1 tsp
  4. Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  5. Chilli paste - 1 tsp
  6. Garlic Powder - 1 tsp
  7. Ginger powder - 1 tsp
  8. Salt - as per taste
  9. Cornmeal / Polenta - 1/4 cup
  10. Rice flour - 1/4 cup
  11. Corn flour - 1/3 cup
  12. Whole Egg - 1-2 (depends on egg size)
  13. Oil - for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Put the cubed chicken pieces into ice cold water.
  2. Soak for at least 1 hour and place the bowl inside the fridge with cover.
  3. Drain and pat dry the chicken.
  4. Make a paste with turmeric powder, salt, ginger powder, garlic powder, chilli paste, black pepper, lemon juice.
  5. Marinate the chicken with the paste for at least 1 hour.
  6. At the meantime take a bowl and beat the eggs.
  7. In another bowl take corn flour.
  8. In another dish mix rice flour and cornmeal together.
  9. Now take one piece of chicken and dust with the corn flour first.
  10. Dust all of the chicken with the corn flour and set aside.
  11. Then dip into the beaten egg.
  12. Then roll into the flour and cornmeal mixture.
  13. Heat oil on a medium flame.
  14. Fry the chicken on a low medium flame until the chicken get crispy and golden brown.
  15. Place them on a kitchen towel paper to absorb the extra oil.
