ABOUT Sweet Banana Chips RECIPE

The famous South Indian snack made with fried bananas and sugar.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 900 grams raw bananas
  2. 125 ml water
  3. 8 tbsp sugar
  4. Oil as required to deep fry

Instructions

  1. Take a large pot/kadhai and heat it with oil to deep fry.
  2. Slice the bananas with the help of a mandolin slicer and keep aside.
  3. Once the oil is hot, fry the sliced bananas in batches.
  4. Deep fry the banana slices till it changes colour and is almost crisp.
  5. When the oil stops bubbling, remove the banana chips and place them on paper towels to drain the excess oil.
  6. To make the syrup, heat a pan and pour in the water and sugar together. Bring it to a boil.
  7. Stir this mixture well together then switch off the heat. Let syrup cool down.
  8. Once the syrup is cool, dip the banana chips into it and drain the excess syrup if any. Keep aside.
  9. When the syrup dries up, you can choose to store these banana chips in a container.
  10. Serve with a cup of tea to enjoy it at its best.

Very nice, I ll try to make this at home. Recently I bought it a combo of banana chips from https://southindianstore.com/product/banana-jackfruit-sweet-banana-combo/ and it was also so yummy and fresh. Really loved it.
