Eggless Chocovanilla Marbled tea cake !!

ABOUT Eggless Chocovanilla Marbled tea cake !! RECIPE

Choco vanilla marbled cake is a moist and decadent tea time cake with right amount of sweetness and the blend of chocolate and vanilla is a match made in heaven !!

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1.5 cups : All purpose flour / Maida
  2. 3/4 cup : Powdered sugar
  3. 1/4 cup : Oil
  4. 1 cup : Yoghurt
  5. 1 tsp : Baking powder
  6. 1/2 tsp : Baking Soda
  7. 1 tsp : Vanilla extract
  8. 2 tbsp : Unsweetened Cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Sieve the all purpose flour at least twice and set aside.
  2. In a seperate bowl beat yoghurt, powdered sugar, baking powder and soda and set aside for at least 10 mins.
  3. Later add the sieve flour to yoghurt mixture and mix until combined.
  4. Remove half of the batter into a separate bowl and add cocoa powder to it. Mix this well until combined . If u feel its a bit dry add 2 to 3 tbsp of milk and adjust the consistency .
  5. Add the vanilla extract to the left over batter and mix well.
  6. Take an 8" round pan and line the bottom and edges of the pan with parchment paper.
  7. Now add a scoop of vanilla batter and next drop in a scoop of Chocolate batter in the middle of vanilla batter. Repeat the process alternatively until both the batters are finished.
  8. Now with a toothpick make lines starting from the edge of the pan to the middle of the pan..or vice versa. Make at least 8 lines leaving equal gaps between them.
  9. Now bake this in a preheated oven at 180°c or 350°f for about 35 to 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
  10. Once baked to perfection cool this marbled cake in the pan for at least 10 minutes and later invert on to a cooling rack and cool at room temperature completely..
  11. Later slice and serve with hot cup of tea / Coffee or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  12. How moist and decadent !! We love it !!
