ABOUT Katori Bhelpuri RECIPE

The famous khatta-meetha snack made but adding onions, tomatoes, besan sev and chana daal. So simple but very delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Puffed rice - 1 cup
  2. Besan sev - 1/2 cup
  3. Alu sev - 1/4 cup
  4. Chana daal - 1/2 cup
  5. Onions chopped - 1 big
  6. Tomato - 1 big
  7. Corn (optional) 1/2 cup
  8. Chat masala - 1/2 tsp
  9. Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  10. Black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  11. Tomato sauce - 1/2 cup or as per taste
  12. Tamarind chutney (optional)
  13. Boiled potatoes chopped - 1/2 cup
  14. For papdi and katori : Maida - 1 cup
  15. Ajwain - 2 pinch
  16. Salt a pinch
  17. Oil for dough - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. First make a dough for papdi. Mix maida, ajwain, salt and oil. Make dough adding appropriate water.
  2. Now cover it for 15 minutes with a muslin cloth.
  3. Now make a chapati. Cut the required size with a cookie cutter or make a very small dumplings.
  4. Fry it in the oil till golden brown. Papdi is ready. Let it cool.
  5. With the same dough make the katori either while frying or bake in the oven.
  6. Add in all the mixture i.e puffed rice, besan sev, alu sev, chana dal, papdi chunks, onion, tomato, potatoes, chaat masala, lemon juice and sauces.
  7. The bhelpuri is ready.
  8. Take the papdi katori and brush it with sauce from inside.
  9. Put the mixture in the crispy papdi katori. It is ready to be served.
