  2. Sugar powder 1.5 cup
  3. Eggs 2
  4. Oil 1/2 cup
  5. water 1.5 cup
  6. Baking Powder 1 Tsp
  7. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  8. Vanilla Essence 2 Tsp
  9. Food colour Orange + Green

Instructions

  1. Sieve the dry ingredients.
  2. In a big bowl, mix together the dry and wet ingredients (except the colour).
  3. Now, divide the batter in 3 different bowls.
  4. Put orange colour in one bowl and mix.
  5. Put green colour in the second bowl and mix.
  6. Now, grease a baking dish with oil.
  7. Pour the green batter.

  9. Note that if you want perfect layers of different colours, then keep the baking dish in the freezer for 20-30 minutes after pouring the green batter and then again after pouring the white batter. This way each layer will freeze and then clean layers will be formed.

  11. Bake for 40-50 minutes or till the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  12. Let the cake cool for 15 minutes before de-moulding it.
  13. Before cutting, let the cake sit on a wire rack till completely cool.
