ABOUT Jhangore ki kheer with a mango twist RECIPE

Once i got a chance to visit uttrakhandi mela and tasted this millet kheer which I liked very much but this time i added mango puree to give it a seasonal touch .

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Jhangora millet 250grams
  2. Toned milk 1kg
  3. Condensed milk 50ml
  4. 4 medium alfanso mangoes pureed
  5. Cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. First of all wash jhangore millet and let it soak for one hour.
  2. Start boiling the milk n add soaked jhangora,boil it on simmer heat till it becomes tender and homogeneous.
  3. Now add condensed milk to give a richness to this dish n boil fr more 5 minutes.keep aside fr cooling
  4. Finally add mango puree to give a seasonal touch to your traditional kheer. Dont forget to chill it before serving.
