Sunday’s in our home was dedicated to oil baths and after oil bath we would have rice and garlic milagu kuzhambu which was has healing properties die to Garlic and Pepper.. My mom makes the best Garlic Kuzhambu

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Dhania
  2. 3 spoons Chana Dhal
  3. 3 spoons whole pepper
  4. 10-15 garlic cloves peeled
  5. 3 sooons tamarind paste
  6. 3 cups water
  7. 2 large sprigs curry leaf
  8. 3-4 spoons sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Take a pan add sesame oil and add Dhania and Chana Dhal sauté well till Chana dhal is red
  2. Now add pepper and sauté well till aroma of pepper comes
  3. Blend this in blender with curry leaves to fine paste
  4. Now take pan add sesame oil , mustard seeds and when this splutters add curry leaves and garlic
  5. Now add the finely ground paste and add water let this boil well
  6. Now add 2 spoons salt and 2 spoons tamarind paste
  7. Yummy milagu kuzhambu is ready.. serve with rice and traditional Chana Dhal chutney and Papad
