ABOUT Spicy Mango Chicken Wings RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 gms Chicken Wings
  2. 2 +1 tbsp Lemon juice
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Oil for frying
  5. 1/4 cup Plain flour/Maida
  6. 1/4 cup Cornflour
  7. 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  8. 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  9. 1 tsp Chilly powder
  10. 1 cup ripe mango chopped
  11. 6 Dry Red chilly
  12. 2 fat Garlic cloves
  13. 3 tbsp Sugar
  14. 2 tbsp Vinegar
  15. Few crushed roasted peanuts for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the chicken wings and pat dry with kitchen towel. In a mixing bowl add the chicken wings, 2 tbsp Lemon juice, season with salt, mix well and set aside.
  2. In a bowl or plate add the Maida flour, Cornflour, pepper, garlic powder, chilly powder, salt to taste, mix well and set aside.
  3. In a blender/grinder jar add the chopped mango, chilly, garlic, vinegar, lemon juice, salt and blend it into a smooth puree. Set aside.
  4. Mango pureed
  5. Now coat the marinated chicken nicely in the flour mixture.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan. Drop the chicken in the oil
  7. Fry them till golden. Remove and set aside.
  8. In a saucepan add the mango mixture and sugar.
  9. Cook for 4-5 mins or till you get a thick consistency sauce.
  10. Next add the fried chicken wings in half the mango sauce.
  11. Mix them well coating the chicken nicely with the sauce. Reserved half of the sauce to use as dip.
  12. Preheat oven @230° for 10 mins. Take a baking tray and grease it. Lay the chicken wings in single layer.
  13. Bake them for 15 mins or till the chicken turns crisp and golden.
  14. Remove and garnish with crushed roasted peanuts and serve with the reserved sauce.
