ABOUT Hung Curd Low Calorie Chocolate Mousse RECIPE

Who doesnt like chocolates, and it is only a good idea to infuse chocolates with yogurt. It gives an amazing texture to the mousse without any use of gelatin or setting agent. Its a low calorie recipe with honey used as sweetner. I made it for me and my husband but my kids finished it off, as the yogurt was not sour and made from full fat milk, it was creamy and tasted like flavoured yogurt that we get in stores.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cups curd from full fat milk
  2. 1 tablespoon honey
  3. 1/4 cup full fat milk
  4. 50-60 grams dark chocolate
  5. Handful of chocolate chips to decorate

Instructions

  1. Hang curd in a clean cheese cloth to drain excess whey for 2 hours.
  2. Remove curd and whisk to make it smooth. Add teaspoons of milk if required.
  3. Heat milk in a sauce pan. When it just starts to boil add chopped chocolate pieces.
  4. Let it sit for some time for 3-4 minutes so that chocolate melts, and stir to make smooth mixture
  5. Add honey or sugar according to your liking and mix well. Cool this mixture.
  6. Add to the curds and mix thoroughly.
  7. Decorate with whipping cream or chocolate chips.
  8. Refridegrate to chill and set for 2 hours.
  9. Enjoy chilled dessert. Have a look at the texture after 2 hours of refrigeration in reference picture.
