One of the popular dish of iftar.These are chickpea flour dumplings in diluted yogurt sauce.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chickpea flour 1cup.
  2. Curd 1cup.
  3. Chopped onion 1/2cup.
  4. Chopped coriander leaves 1table spoon.
  5. Chopped green chillies 2nos.
  6. Red chilly powder 1table spoon .
  7. Turmeric powder 1tea spoon .
  8. Chat masala 1tea spoon.
  9. Ginger garlic paste 1table spoon.
  10. Red chilly paste 1 table spoon.
  11. Salt to taste.
  12. Cumin poder 1tea spoon.
  13. Oil 200 ml (for deep frying).

Instructions

  1. Take chickpea flour (besan) in a bowl .mix all the ingredients exept oil, cumin powder,red chilly paste and curd.
  2. Mix well and add some water to besan mix to prepare a batter of dropping consistecy.
  3. Blend well to make soft dumpling (phulki/pakore).keep aside.
  4. Take curd in another bowl,blend till smooth.add2cups of water.
  5. Add red chilly paste and mix.
  6. Keep aside.
  7. Heat oil in a kadahi.fry small phulki/dumpling on medium flame till golden .
  8. Put in curd sauce.
  9. Garnish with cumin seeds and red chilly powder.cover and leave for 10 minutes till dumplings are soft.
  10. Serve chilled or warm with salad or onion.
