ABOUT Masoor Chicken Mince Pulao RECIPE

A cocktail of lentils and chicken mince with potatoes and boiled ehgs added a very healthy,complete meal after fasting in Ramadan.Whole Masoor or pigeons eye dal cooked with chicken mince,added to rice and best pressure cooked pulao in 15 minutes in pressure.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 150 gram saboot masoor
  2. 1 cup chicken kheema
  3. 300 grams rice of your choice
  4. 1 tblspn ginger garlic paste
  5. 2 small onions chopped
  6. 2 medium tomatoes cut fine
  7. 3 hard boiled eggs
  8. 1or 2 potatoes raw or boi jgled will both ok ,optional
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 2 bay leaves
  11. 1 star anise
  12. 2-3 cloves
  13. 1tblspn red chilli powder
  14. 1/2tsp turmericpowder
  15. 1tspn cumin corriander powder
  16. 1tspn garam masala
  17. 4-5 tblspn oil
  18. 2 tblspn ghee
  19. 2-3tblspn mango Vhunda

Instructions

  1. Soak masoor for at least half hour
  2. Wash drain kheema
  3. Boil eggs keep aside and cool
  4. Keep ingredients ready
  5. Cut onion ,tomatoes fine
  6. Heat oil in pressure cooker saute onions,with bay leaves
  7. Add tomatoes saute,add all dry spices
  8. Add chicken mince now
  9. Stri fry kheema 2 minutes
  10. Add soaked masoor now
  11. Mix all well add 1 glass water
  12. Pressure cook for 3 whistles or 5-7 minutes
  13. Remove the mix ready keep aside
  14. Now wash rice soak 2 minutes
  15. Heat ghee in pressure cooker add star anise for baghar
  16. Add the rice to hot ghee,with a glass of water
  17. Now add the cooked kheema masoor
  18. Pressure cook for 4 whistles ie about 8-10 minutes
  19. Keep close till pressure remains
  20. Open cooker and have a lovely pulao ready
  21. Now cut boiled eggs into halves
  22. Pan fry halved eggs in 1tblspoon oil
  23. Remove the pulao in a rice plate and Garnish with panfried eggs
  24. Serve with mango chundawat, kachumber of curd onion and tomato
