ABOUT Eggless Vanilla Ice Cream RECIPE

While the recipe is eggless, you must use very good quality cream and good vanilla extract to make a great ice cream

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1/2 litre whole milk
  2. 1/2 litre heavy cream
  3. a pinch of salt
  4. 2 tsps vanilla extract
  5. 1 vanilla pod
  6. 2/3 cup of sugar (more if you'd like)

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat the milk, cream, salt and sugar gently making sure the sugar has dissolved completely.
  2. 2. Split the vanilla pod and scrape it into the milk. Let it infuse for half an hour. Adjust for sugar
  3. 3. Fish out the vanilla pods and add the vanilla extract to it. Chill this mixture for atleast 1 hour and then freeze in your ice cream maker, according to the manufacturers instructions.
  4. 4. If you do not have an ice cream machine, freeze the mix for three hours until almost frozen and then blend it in a mixier and refreeze.
  5. 5. Serve once completely frozen
