ABOUT Kheema Thatte idli RECIPE

South indian cuisine is loved by everyone in india. Its popular idli sbhar , wada sambhar dosa are oftenly cooked and served at every indian hotel. I have given a new twist to a dish.Instant Thatte idli- its a jumbo idli stuffed with nutritive filling for kids.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cup rawa or sooji
  2. 2 cup curd
  3. 1 tsp baking soda
  4. 100 gm Mince chicken
  5. 1 Large Onion finely chopped
  6. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  7. 1 cup capsicum finely chopped
  8. 1 green chilly chopped
  9. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  12. Oil to grease the pan

Instructions

  1. Take rawa , curd , some salt and soda in a bowl and mix it well. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  2. In a pan take some oil and add green chilly followed by chopped onions and let it turn golden.
  3. Next add ginger garlic paste and wait till the raw smell goes away.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and some salt.
  5. Add mince chicken and mix it well. Allow it to cook for some time and than add capsicum. Cover the pan 5 minutes and remove the mixture in a bowl.
  6. Take a plate and grease it with oil.
  7. Take the rawa mixture and add desired amount of water and mix it properly. Dont make it to thick or too thin.
  8. Now spread some mixture on the bottom of the plate and steam it for 3 minutes in idli steamer.
  9. Now spread chicken mixture on next layer and then cover the mixture with idli batter.
  10. Steam it for 10-15 minutes and then let it cool for 5 minutes.
  11. Demould on a plate and cut the jumbo idli cake and serve hot .
