ABOUT Kheema Kasoori Methi Samosas... RECIPE

These exquisite fully aromatic samosas made with mince mutton and kasoori methi will leave you all speechless with it's explicit aroma and taste. Ingredients Serving: 7

  1. FOR THE SAMOSA DOUGH ; All purpose flour 2 1/2 cups
  2. Milk 3/4 cup
  3. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  4. Carom seeds 1 tsp
  5. Salt 1 tsp
  6. Oil 1 tbsp
  7. Water 1/4 cup (or as needed)
  8. FOR THE FILLING ; Mince mutton 250 gm
  9. Salt 1 tsp
  10. Oil 1 1/2 tbsp
  11. Grated ginger 1 tbsp
  12. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  13. Garam masala 1 tsp
  14. Red chilli flakes 1 1/2 tbsp
  15. Ciba spices kasoori methi 2 tbsp
  16. Coriander leaves finely chopped 1/4 cup
  17. Green peas frozen 3/4 cup
  18. Dry mango powder 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Knead a smooth dough using all the above ingredients.
  2. Keep it aside covered for 20 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile prepare the filling by heating oil in a pan.
  4. Add grated ginger to it followed by sliced onions.
  5. Saute until translucent.
  6. Add the mince now along with the spices.
  7. Saute on a medium high heat until the raw smell disappears for nearly 10-12 minutes.
  8. Adjust salt and garnish with coriander leaves and kasoori methi.
  9. Cover and let it cook for 2 more minutes.
  10. Use this filling in the samosas.
  11. Divide the dough into equal sized balls and make 2 samosas out of one ball each.
  12. Deep fry them in hot oil on a medium high heat.
  13. Serve them with green chutney or any other of your liking.
  14. Enjoy this Ramadan with these exquisite and aromatic samosas wrapped in unconditional love for your near and dear ones.
