Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. cracked wheat - 1 cup
  2. water - 2 cups
  3. oil - 1 tablespoon
  4. mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  5. urad dal - 1 teaspoon
  6. Channa dal - 1 teaspoon
  7. green chilies- 2
  8. chopped ginger- 1 teaspoon
  9. curry leaves- 1 string
  10. salt - as per your taste
  11. carrot chopped - 1/4 cup
  12. beans chopped- 1/4 cup
  13. green peas - 1/4 cup
  14. chopped onions- 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Take a wide pan and add oil
  2. once the oil is heated add the mustard seeds, urad dal, Channa dal , Curry leaves, green chilies and ginger one by one
  3. Add the chopped onions and cook till it becomes translucent
  4. Now add the chopped veggies of your choice and sauté it for 5 minutes
  5. Add water and salt now and allow it to boil
  6. Once water started boiling add the cracked wheat to it and cook it for 5 minutes or until the water is completely evaporated
  7. The healthy cracked wheat upma is ready now.
