Whenever we think of patties,potatoes come into our mind,well with these yummy patties with cracked wheat,this changes and for the better too.cracked wheat with paneer and some veggies makes these ones a healthy bonanza,ideal for burgers and any rolls or sandwiches.Makes an excellent tiffin box idea

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cracked wheat or bulgar wheat 1/2 cup
  2. Paneer grated 1/4 th cup
  3. Carrot grated 1 medium
  4. Onion finely chopped 1 medium
  5. Chilli garlic sauce 1 tbsp
  6. Soy sauce 1 tbsp
  7. Coriander or parsley finely chopped 2 tbsp
  8. Almonds 4-5 finely slivered
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  11. Wheat flour 1-2 tbsp
  12. Some oil for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Boil some water and pour it in a heat proof dish. To this add the cracked wheat. Cover it up for 15 mins.
  2. Now after draining the excess water remaining, add in all the ingredients mentioned one by one
  3. Mix it up well and start shaping these into patties either round or oval.
  4. Paneer can be homemade or store bought one. I prefer fresh homemade one.
  5. Shallow fry these on low flame until done few at a time.
  6. Serve these hot with tamarind chuney or any dip of your choice.
