ABOUT BREAD & QUINAO VADAS RECIPE

Quinoa is one of the super foods that is gaining popularity these days. I have been trying out a variety of recipes with it.Here is the recipe of vadas.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soft bread crumbs... 3 slices ( about 1&1/2 to 2 cups)
  2. Quinoa flour ........... 2 cups
  3. Asafoetida .......... a pinch (optional)
  4. Onions .................. 1 cup (finely chopped)
  5. Green chillies ....... 3-4 (finely chopped)
  6. Coriander leaves .. 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
  7. Baking powder ..... 1/4 tsp
  8. Salt ................ to taste
  9. Oil .............. to fry

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together except oil.
  2. Make a thick dough adding enough water. (consistency like the normal vada dough)
  3. Heat oil in a pan and take a little portion of the vada dough on your wet palm, make a small hole in the middle and drop it into the oil.
  4. Fry them to a golden brown colour. Serve with chutney of your choice and sambar.
