ABOUT Masala Paratha RECIPE

A paratha which is prepared with different spices (masala) and therefore it is tasty and flavourful.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Whole wheat flour - 1½ cups
  2. Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  3. Turmeric powder - ½ teaspoon
  4. Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon
  5. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  6. Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  7. Carom seeds (Ajwain) - ½ teaspoon
  8. Coriander leaves - ¼ cup, chopped finely (Optional)
  9. Salt - to taste
  10. Refined Oil - 2 tablespoons + 5 to 6 tablespoon for frying parathas

Instructions

  1. Take whole wheat flour (atta) in a bowl. Now add all the spices into it and mix them well.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of oil into the mixture.
  3. Now add required water and knead a smooth dough.
  4. Allow the dough to rest for at least half an hour covering the dough with a damp cloth.
  5. Now divide the dough into equal sized balls.
  6. Roll each ball into round circle or you can give any shape as per your wish. I have made square shapes.
  7. Heat a skillet and fry each parathas brushing with little oil. Serve hot.
