I always love to add natural colors to my recipes and I believe kids love the colours very much . So here is my green theme tifin. Green pulao , peas stuffed idli , spinach paratha in kids favorite shapes, kiwi and green chutney. so it's a complete healthy lunch idea dor kids .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For Green rice - one bunch coriander leaves
  2. 2 green chilli
  3. 1 cup peas
  4. 1 cup rice
  5. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  6. 2 Cups Water
  7. salt as per taste
  8. oil for cooking
  9. For Peas Stuffed idli- regular idli batter 2 cups
  10. 1 cup boiled and mashed peas
  11. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  12. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  13. 1 tsp black pepper powder
  14. salt as per taste
  15. oil for cooking
  16. For Spinach Paratha- 1 cup whole wheat flour
  17. Chopped spinach 1 cup
  18. 1 green chilli
  19. 1 finely chopped onion
  20. salt as per taste
  21. oil for cooking
  22. For Pandan Flavour Cake- 2 cups whole wheat flour
  23. 1 cup melted butter
  24. 1 cup powdered sugar
  25. 1 cup Milk powder
  26. 1 and half cup milk
  27. 1 tsp Baking powder
  28. 1 tsp baking soda
  29. Panden flavour gel 3 - 4 drops

Instructions

  1. For Green Rice- first take a grinder , add coriander leaves and green chilli . Make a fine paste by using little water.
  2. Now take a pan , add 1 tbsp oil , add cumin seeds . When seeds starts crackle, add peas . Cook for 5 minutes. Now add coriander paste . Cook for 5 - 7 minutes.
  3. Now add washed and drained rice and 2 cups water . Add salt as per taste. Cook until rice is done . Green rice is ready .
  4. FOR PEAS STUFFED IDLI- first take a pan , add 2 tsp oil . Add cumin seeds when seeds starts crackle, add turmeric powder, black pepper powder and salt as per taste. Now add boiled and mashed peas . Cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the gas .
  5. Grease idli moulds , pour 1 tbsp idli batter then put peas stuffing. Again pour batter on it . Repeat this process on remaing moulds .
  6. Steam it for 15 - 20 minutes. Peas stuffed idli is ready .
  7. For Spinach Raita - first take whole wheat flour, add chopped spinach leaves , green chilli and chopped onion. Now add salt as per taste. Make a dough by using water . Keep this aside .
  8. Take a small portion of dough and roll it like a disc. Then cut these disc into kids favorite shapes like heart , flower etc .
  9. Take a pan , cook these different shapes paratha from both sides by using oil or ghee. Spinach paratha is ready .
  10. For Pandan Flavour Cake - in a big bowl , add melted butter and powdered sugar . Just mix it . Now add whole wheat flour , milk powder , and Pandan flavour gel . Now add milk into this . Mix all ingredients well.
  11. Meanwhile grease the tin .
  12. Add baking powder and baking soda to the mix. Pour this batter into tin . Preheat the oven . Bake it 180 degree C for about 30 minutes. Pandan flavour cake is ready.
