ABOUT Besan macchali curry RECIPE

This is a famous dish of bihar.which have name of macchali but this is pure vegetarian spicy curry which we can have with naan or phulka.this is easy to make and tastes very well.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 cup besan
  2. 1 /2 tsp jeera
  3. 5 peppercorns
  4. Yellow sarson
  5. 5 garlic cloves
  6. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  7. 1/2 tsp haldi
  8. 2 tsp coriander powder
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. 1 tsp amchur
  11. 1 tsp fennel seeds
  12. 1 tsp carrom seeds
  13. 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  14. 1/2 tsp kasoori methi
  15. 1/4 tsp black sarson
  16. 2 tbsp mustard oil
  17. Coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. First we will make besan batter
  2. Take besan and 1/4 of salt haldi and red chilli powder
  3. Add water and make smooth batter
  4. Take all dry spices except fenugreek and fenugreek leaves
  5. And garlic in a mixi and make a paste adding little water
  6. Now heat tawa and make chillas
  7. Make roll of them and cut in two or three pieces
  8. Now heat oil in pan and let heat it fully because it is mustard oil
  9. Then add fenugreek seeds
  10. Saute little till colour change then add masala paste
  11. Saute this paste and cook till leaves oil in low flame
  12. Stir continuously
  13. And add all remaining spices
  14. And cook
  15. Then add water
  16. Cook 3-4 min
  17. And add AMCHUR powder and kasoori methi after rub on palm
  18. Then add chilla rolls and cook 2-3 min.
  19. Our machhali vegetable is ready to serve
