ABOUT Matar paneer restaurant style RECIPE

This is a comman dish to have with chapatis or rice specially when we are with our family dinner or lunch. But this curry has a unique taste which we get in restaurants. Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Half kg fresh green peas
  2. 250 grams paneer
  3. 4 -5 big tomatoes puréed
  4. 2-3 medium onions coarsely ground
  5. 2 finely chopped chilles
  6. One tbsp ginger garlic paste
  7. 2 Bay Leaves
  8. 5 cloves
  9. 2 tbsp Oil
  10. Half cup tomato sauce
  11. Half tbsp jeera
  12. Red chilli powder according to taste
  13. Half tbsp turmeric powder
  14. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Peal the peas and keep aside. Make paste of tomatoes and onion separately and keep aside
  2. Heat oil in kadai and add jeera cloves and bay leaves. Then add onion paste, ginger garlic paste and cook till starts turning brown
  3. Now add powdered masalas, green peas and mix. Then add tomato puree, tomato sauce and cook till oil separates
  4. Add little water to the gravy and cook. Add paneer. Cook few minutes more and then add chopped coriander leaves. Switch off the gas and serve hot with fulkas.
