Mutton chops fry

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 gms mutton chops
  2. 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  3. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  4. 1/2 tsp crushed pepper
  5. For the masala: 2 tsp coriander powder
  6. 1/2 tsp fennel powder
  7. 1 tsp chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  9. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  10. 1 sliced onion
  11. 1 chopped tomato
  12. Handful of coriander leaves for garnishing
  13. 1/2 cup water
  14. 2 tbsp oil
  15. Salt as needed

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker, cook the mutton chops with turmeric, pepper powder, ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp salt and 1/2 cup of water till 8-10 whistles blow.
  2. Heat a wok, add the sliced onion and fry until it turns brown. Add the tomatoes and cook until its soft.
  3. Now add coriander powder, fennel powder, chilli powder, pepper powder, salt and garam masala powder fry and cook until its fragrant.
  4. Add the mutton chops, fry and cook in a full flame until its slight brown in colour. Now reduce the flame and cook it for another 10-12 mins or until its cooked by adding the stock little by little and finally drying the gravy.
  5. Garnish it with fresh chopped coriander leaves. Serve with parathas or rice.
