My favourite vegetable cauliflower in another tasty recipe form.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 small cauliflower
  2. 1 Onion
  3. 1 tbsp oil
  4. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  5. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  6. 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  7. 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds or methidana
  8. 1/2 tsp onion seeds or kalonji
  9. Pinch asafoetida
  10. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  11. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  12. Salt, to taste
  13. 1-2 Green chillies
  14. 1/2 cup curd
  15. Coriander leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Separate the cauliflower florets and boil them in salt water.
  2. Heat oil in a wok and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, kalonji , methidana and fennel seeds and let them crackle.
  3. Add asafoetida and onion and sauté till translucent.
  4. Add cauliflower florets, salt, turmeric powder and green chillies and sauté for 1-2 mins.
  5. Add curd and cover and cook on low flame.
  6. Cook till cauliflower is soft, switch off the gas.
  7. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
