Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. One cup rava/suji/sooji/semolina
  2. 1 cup Thik curd silghtly sour
  3. 1/2 tbs sugar
  4. 1tbs ginger/adrak grated
  5. 1 tbs green chili paste
  6. 2tbs oil
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Water as required
  9. 1tbs eno fruit salt, or 3/4 tbs backing soda
  10. For tempering
  11. 2tbs oil
  12. 1tbs mustard seeds/rai
  13. Pinch of hing/ asafoetida
  14. Few curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Firstly, in a large mixing bowl take rava and curd.
  2. Then add sugar, ginger, and chili paste,salt.
  3. Mix well
  4. Add water and again mix well to form a thick batter. Consistency like idli batter.
  5. Now add eno fruit salt.and mix well till batter turns frothy.
  6. Transfer batter to the greased plate.
  7. Steam the dhokala batter for 12 to 15 min
  8. perpare the tempering by heating oil
  9. Further add rai, after rai splatter add hing and curry leaves ,saute for a while and then spread tempering on dhokala.
  10. Then cut the dhokala the shape u want and serve with ur favorite chutteny or sous.
