ABOUT Healthy Quinoa Idli Tikka RECIPE

This is my new version of idli tikka with giving a very healthy twist by using quinoa flour to make idlis. And this is very instant recipe to make idlis. Serve this delicious and healthy idli tikka as a appetizer.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. To make Quinoa Idli batter:
  2. 1 cup quinoa flour
  3. 1 tbsp semolina
  4. 1/3 cup buttermilk
  5. 1 tsp Salt
  6. 1 pack Eno salt
  7. For tikka tempering:
  8. 1 tsp oil
  9. 1/2 tsp mustered seeds
  10. 1 cup all colored bell peppers, diced
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  13. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  14. 1/4 tsp sambhar powder
  15. Other Ingredients:
  16. Screwers
  17. Chuteny and sambhar to serve with

Instructions

  1. In a medium sized bowl, add all the ingredients of idli batter except Eno salt and mix it well using whisk.
  2. Preheat the steamer and grease the mini idli stand.
  3. Add Eno salt into to batter, mix it quickly and pour it into greased plates.
  4. Steam it for 8-10 mins.
  5. Once it's cooled down, remove the idlis from plate.
  6. Now, for tempering, heat oil into non stick pan.
  7. Add mustered seeds, once it start spluttering, add all the bell peppers, mini idlis and all other dry ingredients.
  8. Mix it well.
  9. Now take one by one screwers, and arrange idlis and bell peppers into it to make tikkas.
  10. So your idli tikkas are ready, serve it got with coconut chuteny and sambhar.
