Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Yellow moong dal/lentil - 1/4 cup
  2. Finely chopped carrot - 1 cup
  3. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
  4. Oil - 2 tsp
  5. Finely chopped dry coconut - 1/4 cup
  6. Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  7. Chopped green chilly - 1/4 tsp
  8. Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  9. Finely chopped ginger - 1 tsp
  10. Salt - to taste
  11. Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  12. Sugar - 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Soak moong dal for 4 - 5 hours and strain it.
  2. Take a bowl add lemon juice,sugar,salt,black pepper powder and chopped ginger and mix well.
  3. Now dressing is ready.
  4. Heat oil in a pan.
  5. Add cumin seeds to crackle.
  6. Add yellow moong dal/lentil and cook for 2 - 3 mins and turn off the flame.
  7. Take a bowl add carrot,coriander leaves,green chilly,coconut and mix well.
  8. Add yellow moong dal/lentil and dressing and mix well.
