ABOUT Jowar and Wheat Masala Pooris... RECIPE

A yummy recipe for a healthy breakfast by me. This one is infact a very lovely start to your day. Both the flours are used in fusion for the taste. And to make them a little more delicious, i added some spices as done by my mother. These pooris are done very quickly too.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Jowar (Sorghum) Flour 1 cup
  2. wheat flour 3/4th cup
  3. Salt 1 tsp
  4. Kasoori Methi 1 tbsp
  5. Red chilli flakes 1 tbsp
  6. Oil 1 tbsp
  7. Water 3/4th cup

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth dough using all the ingredients.
  2. Cover and set aside for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat oil on a medium flame.
  4. Divide the dough into 14-15 equal sized balls.
  5. Roll out pooris without pressing hard while doing so.
  6. Roll them with light hands without much pressure.
  7. Deep fry them on both the sides until golden brown.
  8. Serve hot with curry leaves podi and tomato chutney.
