Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Beetroot 250 gms
  2. Milk 1 cup
  3. Sugar 1/2 cup
  4. Nuts of your choice 1/2 cup
  5. Raisins 1tbsp
  6. BUTTER 1TBSP
  7. Ghee 1 tbsp
  8. FRESH CREAM 2 TBSP

Instructions

  1. Peel beetroot and grate the beetroot in the finest grater.
  2. In a Kadhai add butter and ghee and allow it to get heated,then add grated beetroot and cook till the beetroot is cooked half and changes colour.
  3. Now add milk and allow the beetroot to get cooked till done.If milk is not enough you can add a little bit of water.
  4. Next add sugar and stir it continously.
  5. Now the beetroot halwa will become glossy and not stick to the sides.
  6. Add nuts which are chopped .Add raisins lightly sauted in butter.Mix it well.
  7. In the final step add cream mix it well and switch of stove.
